Tonight is the presidential debate. It won't even come close to that "presidential" moniker. Also, tonight will be the final regular season baseball games.

Wednesday is Kroger day. Senior discount and all. Out of dry cat food, TP, Doritos, peanuts, Zyrtec, Claritin, etc. and etc. And I get to flirt with Mandy at the self-checkout.

If the rains keep coming like this, four out of five days, my basement will require pumping. The landlord and his plumbing crew spent most of Tuesday down there and can't find a way to get the water out.

I am keeping Choccie and Cocoa, along with Hobster. The babies are 14 weeks old today! Sarah, the calico, is enjoying her new home across the bridge. Cindy puts a lot of photos of Sarah on Facebook.

I miss her.

It has been a month and a half since Mom passed away. The funeral home bill is paid. Now we need to get a permit to send the ashes to CA so my sister can get her into Dad's ash crypt.

Imagine. A 'permit.' Taxes and fees follow you even after death.

What a country!
