I hiked up Mt Baldy at Rancho Cucamonga, where there are easy trails that go gradually up, or others that go directly up. Last place I hiked with my little brother, so seeing this painting is a nice surprise.
If a person didn't know it was Mt. Baldy, located in California, they might think the name of the picture was: Honolulu Meets the Rockies.
That explains the palm trees.
Never scaled it, but been to the town. Watched it come and go in the smog for 7 years.
It's lovely, scene and execution. But where, pray, is Mt. Baldy?? xx, T
That is beautiful! A lovely scene to just sit back and relax in front of.
