Make this. You can sub any canned pie filling for the apple one. I have done this twice. When I used cherry pie filling (Comstock brand) I subbed white cake mix for the yellow.
1 bag of caramels
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 can cream soda
1 box yellow cake mix
2 cans apple - or any fruit - pie filling.
Spray or butter grease bottom of crock pot.
Put 1/3 of the caramels on bottom of crock pot.
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
Add 1/3 of brown sugar/cinnamon mix on top of caramels.
Put 1/3 of the melted butter on that.
Add one can of the pie filling.
Repeat all of the above.
Mix cake mix and cream soda and pour over everything.
Add rest of brown sugar mix and the remaining butter.
Cook in covered crock pot on high for 4 to 5 hours.
Add remaining caramels to top when the cooking is done.
