The Flooding Here ...

I should just provide a link to our town's daily newspaper. The river here is expected to crest sometime this afternoon, but I wouldn't count on it. There has been serious damage to parked cars, homes and apartments, the YMCA, and to infrastructure with some roads getting washed out. We are only about 500 feet from the Sandusky River but we are higher up the long bank and not in danger.

Down in Findlay, 25 miles SW, the city has been cut in half with the downtown under several feet of water from the Blanchard River.

Yesterday all the schools in the eastern part of our county were closed due to the many roads having been cut by flooded creeks and streams.

I pasted the link into my browser. It does look awful and glad you are higher up and out of danger.

What interesting weather the world is having these days and the political climate globally could best be described as "rocking and rolling".
Stay safe, stay dry. and the kitties.

I am sorry for your city but glad you have escaped.

I saw that your whole state was under a flood warning/watch. More this weekend, I hear.

Big rain on the way. It is in Indiana now. Truckloads of sand and sandbags here. I am high and relatively dry, but only 500 to 600 feet from the Sandusky River. 40 feet uphill from the runover level. The river has barely subsided from Tuesday night's 11 foot over flood stage crest.

The last line is the URL of the newspaper this morning. Copy it and put it in your menu address line.
