Life is Good (But No Excuse Not to Blog)

Hey people!
I've been too busy to think lately so I just do one thing after another until it's all done. I had to replace my computer so I bought another refurbished Acer and scrapped all the junk computers I had left laying around. I saved the drives and bought enclosures and I figured I'd copy off all the old pics.

Not so fast. Everything computer is chinesium these days so you take your chances when you order. So I've already sent two drive enclosures back and finally got a replacement for the first one. So I'm spending hours installing, copying and transferring pictures.

We also decided to go back to a king bed so we ordered an "internet mattress". Not one that's rolled up in a box, but a 15 inch thick Winkbed. So I tried to modify the old frame that I have stored in the garage but the guy from Winkbed says "no, no plywood, the mattress needs to breathe from the bottom". So he suggested a platform bed since I wasn't willing to pay the $300 they were asking for their foundation. So through the wonder of Prime the frame is hear already and I got email from the shipping company that says they will be calling to schedule a delivery "window". Yeah, it better not be longer than 4 hours.

I'm doing something new in the garden this year--hay-bale gardening. I'm all fired up expecting the best harvest ever. The video below shows the details. Mowing season has also started and I have next winter's firewood to split. Hopefully I have enough on hand, but if not I'll have to buy a cord or two. No more log length loads for this geezer. It's getting to be too much and I'd be 67 by the time I finished up a truckload.

So sit back and enjoy the vid. And have a wonderful spring!

Are they fiddlehead ferns? those are edible.

They are ferns but I don't believe they are fiddlehead. I had a buddy who said he'd eat them if they were. But that isn't what killed him.
