Way Too Much Going On

I've been so busy. It's not a good excuse, because I still have time to get on here and read you guys' stuff. There's just not been a lot of time to write.
What would I write about? For starters:
A presidential kill order for an American citizen abroad, after all the talk about how cruel and inhumane waterboarding and Guatanamo are and the right to due process in a court of law on American soil.
The beautiful weather we've been having here in Oklahoma, after the excruciating heat of this summer's drought. (The drought part isn't over yet.)
My abundant supply of banana and jalapeño peppers and the prospect of tomatoes before it frosts. (After an entire summer with no fruit at all on my tomatoe plants.)
The wonderful books I've been reading and listening to on my long road trips with Jenny and the baby. In particular, A Boy Called It and The Lost Boy by David Pelzner, Bobos in Paradise by David Brooks and Message from an Unknown Chinese Mother by Xinran.
I know most of you lost your concentration after the piece about the presidential kill order, so go back and reread the rest of this before you comment. LOL I crack me up.

This so-called "U.S. Citizen" committed treason. That's a crime punishable by death. Better him than us.

Even Liberals (I am a rational centrist) do not inveigh against home owners having guns with a permit. What they (and me too) are against is indiscriminate sale to the crazies (as witness the mentally unbalanced fellow who shot the congresswoman and killed a child) with automatic weapons. You do not need an automatic weapon to protect your home.

A Boy Called It, i have always wanted to read. I remember seeing him on Oprah many years ago and was so impressed with him.
I am glad you are getting some nice weather finally and hopefully you will get some rain. We are having the wettest fall ever!

Some killing is always cleansing ... just look at World War II and what we stopped. The "American" citizen offed in Europe was the worst sort of traitor. I am not losing any sleep over it. You are in your home ... a home invasion takes place, an intruder is raping your wife and threatening your daughter ... you are restrained but have a concealed weapon and can reach it. Do you use it?

I definitely would use it. If the liberals had their way, I wouldn't have access to one.
How do people stand with the president in his condemnation of Guantanamo (which is still open, as I understand it) and his and the justice department's condemnation of waterboading AND their insistence in giving terrorists criminal trials in American courts; then stand in total solidarity with him as he issues a kill order on an American citizen? Even traitors are tried and convicted before being executed. This administration's argument against waterboarding and Guantanamo and everything else they decried about Bush's handling of the war on terror has just disintegrated into nothing.

Thank you. The baby had her shots today, so she's a bit cranky tonight, as I would be. I think the injection site is sore.

'A presidential kill order for an American citizen abroad' any worse than a Governor killing innocent people on American soil? (Just put that in to crack you up some more! )
We are getting a 'cold wave' here in Southern Florida--only a high of 86 today with a low in the 70s tonight---BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Wow! You must be freezing! What governor killed an innocent person? Are you referring to the recent execution? I have trouble with that issue.

How is that precious Sofia. I was out walking and you passed me jogging, it
looked as if you were completely focused so I didn't call out to you My walking route
is up ridgewood, the fire station and then home. I can do it in twenty
minutes, which I think is great for someone due to be 83 in March. The
weather is beautiful. I am afraid it will get too cold for any hope of
tomatoes. I have already put a heavy comforter on the bed, it is so cool
at night.
