Wii Fit Update and Other Stuff

All I can say is that since the weather has been marginally nicer I haven't been on it for ages now. As a result I don't have  a clue what I weigh now. But I hope it is less due to the increased leg work I have been putting in for the past few weeks. I have been reading walking for fitness books and like the notion that 18lb can be lost in a year if you change nothing within your lifestyle other than walking for 45mins 3 times a week. This is do-able and I am sure that the fitter I become the less likely I will be to munch on Galaxy Chocolate (my mega downfall!)
The better weather has also meant that we have been able to get out Geocaching again. The kids have all hidden their own now and the FTF it was impressed. I did lay it on thick that the kids chose the hiding place so I hoped folk would be less critical! We have even been invited to a local Caching camp/BBQ weekend at the end of the summer. This event is hosted by Geocachers who have hidden alot of caches in this area and it would be good to meet others who are into this activity.
L even wants a Geocaching birthday party in a couple of months when he turns 6. Don't know how I will pull this one off but I am thinking that if I hide 5 or 6 caches and each one is filled with party bag goodies and a clue for the next one inside I won't go far wrong. I have also seen a few recipies for treasure stones which I think I will make as well. https://familyfun.go.com/crafts/treasure-stone-673739/ I am fairly sure the kids will "dig" them!!

I have also successfully pulled off a fundraising balloon race for my kids' school. For not too much work, other than filling balloons on the day we made over £400 profit. We will hopefully hold another one and now that we know what sort of time it takes to fill them we will be able to sell even more. I have also joined a committee to fundraise money in order to upgrade a local playpark for the kids. This is really exciting and I was tempted to put myself up for Chairperson but as I am already Chairperson for the school Parent Council I felt it would be too much, I know what a tizz I got myself into with regards the balloon race.
Better go and get on, with the sun shining today it really makes my manky windows look worse - so I am off to get them done.
