Not long to go before endless days of glorious sunshine, fun days out with the children and precious evenings spent with friends and family are here. This is so far removed from the reality that is the school summer holidays.

In our house it is usual for the school bell to ring for the last time to be closely followed by ceaseless bickering and quarrels!! Every year I try to plan activities that the kids can look forward to only to find things fall on their arse quickly and chaos takes over. I sometimes wonder why I bother as whatever I do just never seems to be enough. We don't spoil the kids but they do get treats occassionally. But still they look for more!!

Will this year be any different? I hope so!
