Not been around much other than quick status updates on facebook. Things have been none stop here. My middle son has had several ops on his pseudoarthrosis and hasn't been allowed to weight bear for three months. Not easy trying to keep a 5 year old off his feet. He had another op on Friday, he can now weight bear but still in plaster for another 6 weeks. That boy needs a bath. There is only so much can be done in the shower with his leg hanging out the door!

My eldest will turn 7 in 6 weeks time. Where does the time go? I was looking over some of my first posts on another site and he was only 2 and still in nappies. He has finally decided to liberate some baby teeth. The fairies had their work cut out as he lost 3 in a week!!

My daughter grows more beautiful yet wilder by the day. She has finally got a place in nursery after the summer, she is desperate to go and the 2.5 hours she is there on a daily basis means that I will be able to kickstart my fitness plans. The sim is to lose a stone by Christmas.

As for me, well I am planning to return to uni when DD starts school in two years time. A complete career change is intended. For a while I was thinking computers and IT support but then I had a rethink. The new vocation I am pursuing is midwifery. I am fully aware that the university I would study at is well known for a high number of applicants for a handfull of places. But I hope that my own birth experiences, age and sheep farming background all play a part. There is an open day in September which I intend to go to and see what the lie of the land is.
