and the UK grinds to a halt!!
It never ceases to amaze me that here in the UK snow in winter comes as, well, a freakin' surprise! It is the beginning of February and snow?! Surely not, the shops are beginning to sock up on summer clothes and sandals. Well I kid you not last night it snowed.
The TV this morning was full of how bad the snow is in the south. How much snow there is in London. There is that much snow that the famous red London buses have stopped.Â
This snow has been forecast for a good few days now and yet the transport network has been caught with it's pants down!
What annoys me most is the fact that if Scotland is hit by severe weather very little of it makes the national news.Â
All this said we had it fairly bad where we live today. I even received a phone call from the school today to tell me it was closing at 2 and I would need to go and collect my son early. It is meant to be worse tonight - upto a foot and a half is predicted. Time will tell though.
