After a bad night's sleep we struggled to get on the go in the morning. We finally had the car parked and headed out for breakfast. This lead to a DH and I row! We don't normally row but when we do it has to do with the boys! If their dad is there they will not let me do anything for them. This is largely DH's fault as he would always rush when the hurt themselves etc when they were younger. He gets so ratty when they decide half way through a meal that they need the bathroom. I try to get them to go before they sit down to eat but this alway leads to more rows as they insist on DH taking them. Iam damned for asking before hand then when I don't they want to go through a meal and it then gets cold!
That behind us we decided that we wouldn't come home using the A9 we would come the Aberdeen route. I hadn't been on that road before either. I also hadn't see a badger in the wild - I have now, albeit roadkill!! Three dead badgers on the side of a road within 10 miles of one another. The badgers are a bit like my experience of Racoons - I only saw one (roadkill) on the interstate between Cincinnatti and Indianapolis.
We drove past the Baxter's soup factory and onto Aberdeen for a late lunch at Frankie and Benny's. We ar enow thinking about our next adventure. We will have to do long weekends this year as DH had to use up alot of holidays with the children being poorly recently.
Better go and make it look like I have been busy!
