.....has now ceased - well for now anyway! Yesterday my son had an appointment with his consultant who operated on his ankle in November. Things are healing slowly but he still needs external support on his leg until things improve - how long this will take is anyone's guess. The consultant is pleased with progress to date and we don't need to see him again for 2 months.
But, the soft stirrup cast L had to support his ankle is now 8 weeks old and really has had it's day - plus it stinks .... cheesy feet! We were asked if we would mind travelling to another hospital where the consultants orthotic team would be able to make a new stirrup splint for him. You do anything for your kids. So we travelled 22 miles, via KFC (L's request) to get the new splint made. I meant to get them to cast it in black so that it wouldn't show up the muck the same way the old one did!!
Better go and get on, the sun is shining, I have been bitten (probably for today only) by the cleaning bug - stand back and watch the magic happen! I am going to start in the boys' bedroom, that way if the bug wears off then the worst area has already been tackled. Wish me luck.
If you don't hear from me for a few days call out a search party!
