DH is off work today - he decided that after three really rotten nights sleep in a row that he just couldn't do work today so he has taken a day's annual leave. He is en-route up to nursery with J. L is also there and up until 5 minutes before they were due to leave it was only going to be the three of them because my baby was asleep. Well she woke and as she was really grizzly I wrapped her up and snuck her in the pram before DH noticed!! Nah that's not stricktly true, I did tell him she was there. I am hoping that she will go to sleep for another hour or so.

I really should be using this time to have a quick tidy up. The toys are taking over, the kitchen is still in disaray after feeding time and the lounge could do with a hoover. These are all things that can be done anytime. So here I sit, blogging to you and enjoying the quiet. Do you hear that? The sound of silence - well apart from the washer which is on it's 4th load of the day! Hell knows why there is so much again. Might have something to do with the bag of washing DH brought back from the course he was on!

It is rather nice not having to worry about anyone else just for 5 minutes. Not having to make sure the little pieces of lego that J likes to play with are not within the grasp of the baby. No refereeing of the fights and kissing of bashed knees.

I don't do "me" time often enough, but when I do, I spend most of it thinking about the kids. This then makes me want the "me" time to be over. Also because I am still feeding the baby myself in the mornings thinking about her then makes my boobs hurt!!

It is rather novel to be able to sit at the laptop and not have someone on my knee trying to help type. Have to say that doesn't help the spelling as much as I thought it would!! LOL
