Preferences

Where to put your preferences, always is a difficult thing to do. That is in work but also in personal life. Sometimes I have the wish there are more then just 24 hours in a day.
In personal life it is sometimes difficult to choose what kind of things you like to do in your "free" time. Do you want to go outside for a walk or for a bike-tour? Or do you prefer to stay inside and do some household work or use time for hobbies.
Fact is sometimes the house need to be cleaned as well. We actually should schedule things more because nowadays (ending of the school year so very busy for both of us) the cleaning and so is a bit difficult.
I know we have kids who could cooperate more, but when you are not at home it isn't easy to control what they are doing. And, between us, will they do the job good ( I doubt I know my children....kidding).
So when you stay inside when you are not at work there is a good chance you will start cleaning and so in stead of taking your time to relax.
In my case I have another problem. I use to do the administration part for the members of a soccer club. There are about 1100 members from which I keep the administration like in which team they play, what they need to pay and so. Because now its the end of the season a lot of the younger players will need to move to another team. They also need to receive the invoices for the next year. So again quite busy. One problem.. those things cant wait, all need to be done as soon as possible.
So last weeks I have spent a lot of time behind my pc. I do like to do it, so that is not the problem, but my wife sometimes starts to complain a bit.
Actually I also want to be able to keep on reading books and blogs here.
I have the possibility to read a lot of blogs during working time (ssssst) but right now cause of the graduation and so it is terribly busy at work as well. That's the main reason I am not able to comment the way I used to do(and feel a bit ashamed of that), and it makes it more difficult to post myself. I read more of mybloggers at home last week but, I am kidding now, some of the bloggers here post so many things ..... I am busy with MyBloggers more then 2 hours a day.

Martin is right... it is alarming how things that used to take a few minutes now take ages... i dont know why it is, there is simply no time left to do anything, so we dont do anyhting...Mind you, breakfast can take two hours, and then there's last night's movie we recorded, and then it's nice to sit in the sun and...

It's more than 2 hours a day for me, that's for sure. Reading, commenting, posting, and replying can take up to two hours on each of the two sites I use daily. When changing the "look" at MySpace, a visit there can take an hour or more...otherwise, I visit there maybe every 3 days or so and each visit can be for 30-50 minutes. I add on my email...gee, that can take 1-2 hours per day...so my personal pc time is equivilent to a work day! But, there's still the work that needs to be done. Now I think I understand why I never seem to get more than 4 hours of sleep a night anymore!

I have much more "free time" in the winter to blog. Right now, it's hit and miss. One has to become selective.
