Here a quick update from Holland. Last week was a nice one because we only had to work just 4 days. In my country people working at the government and at schools always are off on the Friday before Easter ( we call that Good Friday). We also do celebrate 2 days of Easter so we had quite a long weekend here. Easter Monday in my country often is used by people to visit furniture shops like IKEA and so and also car-dealers are open as well ( like kitchen- and bathroom retailers).

My son finally left the house last week (Wednesday) so with his room empty my wife decided that it would be nice to use that room as a walking closet..... that also means I had a nice job to do. Because I (and she as well) were off last Friday we went to IKEA to buy a closet. There it was possible to create your own closet and we made a nice one (I think), not a very difficult interior just a hanging part and 2 shelves. On the bottom part a drawer for underwear and socks and so.
A normal closet is 50 cm or 100 cm and we have two parts of 100 cm with the same interior, connected to eachother. This one is meant for my two sons cause the both share an old closet now which needs a lot of space in my youngest sons bedroom. We will remove that one there and place it in the walking closet as well and use that closet for ourselves.
Ever installed a new IKEA closet, that size???? Think before you ever will do it. I hate that kind of handjobs and it has cost me two and a half day of sweaty work. The instructions on paper all look easy but.... read it all twice (or even better 3 times). Well yesterday it finally was finished so.... time to relax again lol.






Easter Sunday, after 3 hours of IKEA-work my mum and sister with her husband arrived for a nice visit. We had, cause of the great wetter, planned a nice BBQ and it was a lot of fun with the whole family in the garden ( we were with 10 cause all kids with girlfriends were there as well).
Easter Monday the finishing touch of the IKEA-work and a relaxing afternoon. At night we watched an episode of Grey's anatomy in which Callie was badly injured cause of a car accident. Probably a try out for the producer cause half the episode the cast was singing.... a terrible experience, I almost wanted to switch channels.. Anyone saw that episode? And if you did... liked it or not?

Right now, Tuesday morning 9.30 at work (thx boss) i just have 2 days to work and then will leave for a week's holiday at Kos, a Greek island. We will fly at 6.05 am so need to wake up very early cause we need to be on the airport rond 4.15 am. My son will drive us to there so he will have a broken night as well.


For Martin: We didn't got out for dinner so no menu to discuss and.... It indeed is nice to be able to contact Dale by an iphone-app and no, it's not something that takes a lot of time...are you just jealous??? lol
