Amazing how a little free alcohol can change one's perception of his/her job, isn't it? Glad you're finally HAPPY, in ALL respects, Christine! It does my heart good!
Talk to Eddie. (He left you a comment on your main page.) He runs mybloggers. GLAD YOU"RE HERE, KID! Yeah! Who wants to be from Westbrook???
Crab forks. I don't know what those are, but I WANT 'em!
Don't tell on me, but I've NEVER been called for jury duty.
Maybe there is something to being raised Catholic worrying that I was going to Hell if I did things wrong!
Some days it's just not worth the bother of getting out of bed!
I love the warm and close feeling the first snow gives me as I gaze out on it from the other side of a warm window pane! It reminds me of my grandmother and her warm quilts that weighed down upon me, giving me a feeling of love and security as I slept in her HUGE bed when I was kid! Good feelings.
Hope Turkey Day was great for you! I think I ate my body weight in pies!
Good question, Sunny. These critters sure have a lot to teach us!
You've always got a great twist to things, Ducky! Always just a little askew! I have never heard a silver bell ring. Nor would I know what the hell to do with eleven lords a-leaping. And what the hell does "And whee! We got UPSOT" mean?
She lives!!!!!!
Squeezing the cheeks...can't that rupture something?
Also, to my way of thinking, there is nothing trite about expressing gratitude, know matter what time of year it is. It is refreshing to see somebody who doesn't take things for granted and appreciates the things that she has been given!
When directing a show, I always tell my casts that they should strive for "inner applause." Applause from the outside eventually ceases. When the curtain falls on a show, and an audience goes wild, no matter how long the ovation lasts, eventually it comes to an end. Inner applause, once you find it, lasts forever. Happy Turkey Day, kid. It's good to hear from you.!
Let me tell you what 55 years has taught me so far...live life as YOU would, and to hell with the rest of the world. There is no right or wrong as far as priorities are concerned. Be happy. I have never bowed to social pressures, and I like the life that I have. Society says that a man of my age should not have so many young people as constant companions. Others say that I should spend more time dedicated to my work. Still others think that I should be doing more "middle-age man" stuff like...oh...I don't know, playing dominoes and drinking milk of magnesia or something. Sorry, I prefer being in the theater, travelling around the world skiing and scuba diving, and spending a good portion of every week holding court with my friends at The Main Street Pub! While I shun "middle-age man" stuff, I see no reason why YOU shouldn't shun "young woman" stuff like making babies and living in suburbia... until you're ready (IF you're EVER ready!) You've got one life, kid. Nobody knows how to enjoy it better than you do.
