Since I quit the Mission I was able find work. In fact I found two jobs. Both part time-but they keep body and soul together.

One of them is working for a friend at his convince store. It is at best interesting at times.

Last night I learned the difference between hope and reality.

HOPE.

Last night about 8:30 or so a man and a woman pulled up to the store. He got out came in and started to gather what he wanted or thought he needed. By the time he was done he had purchased-

·        A 12 pack of Heineken

·        3 packs of cigarettes-2 Marlboro and 1 Virginia Slim

·        A can of Red Bull

·        1 bottle of extenze

·        1 blister pack of extenze

·        A 5 hour energy drink

·        A red rose

·        And 9 condoms in assorted colors and flavors

That my friend is hope.

REALITY

        Later just before close another car pulled up and this time a woman got out.

She bought-

·        1 six pack of Miller Lite

·        1 pack of Salem lights

·        I can of Altoids

·        1 bag (small) of chips

·        And one pack of condoms.

And that my friends is reality.
