Allen's friend, from Kansas City, Ron, who is coming down to visit,
was suppose to arrive at the airport at Noon but due to a lack of
passengers the plane was held up in Tampa until another plane arrived
and they could combine the passengers from both. He was now due to
arrive at 2:30 so we decided to go for lunch.
I had a 'buy one--get one free' coupon for the Tasty Thai restaurant where we had been once and decided to go back there.
The restaurant is in the Wilton Manors Shoppes of which more later. It is the hub and heart of the gay community in Broward County.
More
and more it seems restaurants are going for square plates and I must
admit this is the first time I had coffee in a square coffee
cup--strange! :O)
Waiter, and I suspect, owner
Allen had the chicken and shrimp stir fry, brown rice and soda.
The plate was attractively presented and Allen said very good.
I had the shrimp and chicken Pad Thai and coffee
It really wasn't attractively presented and looked like a plate of sauerkraut--was shy of peanuts but was tasty and filling.
We were thinking of having dessert when Allen suggested we go to Dairy Queen down the block and off we went.
