Sunday Tidbits

Many
years ago Tennessee Williams wrote something to the effect that
deliberate cruelty is wrong and yet we see so much of it today.

While doing research for the GREAT GAY AUTHOR series I came across three interesting informative web sites. I am sure most of you are familiar with www.wikipedia.com but I suggest you check out www.glbtq.com all and any subjects dealing with gay life. For the best new books and classics go to www.insightoutbooks.com

There are a couple of new bloggers at blogster that you should check out: RaggedmanReloaded   tragicbeauty   and  missywuzhere  by the same token for those of you at blogster, if you want some peace, quiet and good blog reading, head over to www.mybloggers.com

Good news for Norman--he sold his car for a good price--bad news for me--one more transportation outlet gone.

ATTENTION 'KIDS'--SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO--

From
a newspaper in an article by Judith Graham of the Chicago Tribune which
only proves what I have been saying all along: "A growing body of
research finds that far from being a dark time, old age is a vibrant
period emotionally for many people, a time of turning away from fears
and frustrations and attending to what makes life meaningful, such as
satisfying hobbies and friends. Older people often report feeling
happier, more strable, better adapted even as their cognitive faculties and physical health decline.

Older people are more inclined to go with their hearts than with their heads and paying attention to that counts."
