arrived at 1:25 PM. By 1:35 I had my weight taken (bad), my blood
pressure (good) and temperature (good) in the exam room.
The
doctor walked in at 1:40. Listened to my heart and lungs, asked how I
was doing, if there was anything I wanted to discuss. I asked him if he
had filled out the papers for the self testing PT/INR kit and he said,
"Yes. Anything else?" I said, "No." He then said, "Okay, let's get your
blood drawn and I will see you in two weeks." (I see him every two
weeks for the PT/INR level blood work. With the self testing it could
be cut back to once a month or every 6 weeks.)
I
went into the lab, had my blood drawn, went to the receptionist's desk
and set up my appointment for May 7 plus got my referral for the
opthomolgist's exam on Monday and I was out the door before 2 PM!!
Using
Cookie's car I left home at 1:15 and was back by 2:15--for most doctor
appointments I have to figure the whole afternoon be taken up--this was
the way it should be--even had time to do my food shopping afterwards!
