I
don't recall when Seasons 52 opened--3 years ago? 4? 5?--in any case I
was there the first month and loved the place. I liked the gimmicks of
all dishes being only 475 calories each, the menu changed according to
seasons presenting the freshest of foods and the petite servings of
dessert. With all that going for the restaurant it was almost adding
icing on the cake getting good service and encased by a warm ambiance.
After
the first time I went there quite a few times and then before I knew it
a few years past!! Knowing it was on the expensive side I suggested we
treat ourselves as we deserved it after all those coupon, discounted
lunches.
We
were quickly greeted and shown to a table and Peter, who was to be our
server, said "Hello,", then asked what we would like to drink and served
it almost immediately. For a change Allen's iced tea and my coffee were
both the same price--$2.50. Obviously the restaurant uses a better
coffee as was immediately noticeable by the taste!
Allen
had the shrimp pasta ($17) while I had the BBQ chicken salad ($11.85).
They were both excellent as our clean plates showed. We agreed the
portions were more than enough to satisfy us though we did go on to
order the sample desserts at $2.50 each. You may notice the halo over my
head as I only had one, the carrot cake, while Allen had the rocky road
and pecan pie.
All
in all, though expensive for lunch---$50, including tip--which we can't
afford too often it certainly won't be as long between visits to Season
52 because we deserve it!!
