* * The Catholic Church in Maine has stopped funding the Preble Street’s Homeless Voices for Justice Program as a result of their support for gay marriage. The organization, which helps homeless in Maine, supported the state’s pro-gay marriage ‘No on 1’ campaign last fall and has already lost $17,400 this year, with an expected $33,000 lost next year because of the Church’s decision.

* * Discovery has picked up Sarah Palin’s upcoming reality series being produced by Mark Burnett productions. The Alaska-themed documentary series will reportedly get $1 million an episode.
* * In other news about reality TV that’s close to Russia, MTV has put up their official casting site for their new Brighton Beach series they’re hoping will follow up on the success of Jersey Shore. The series is moving the focus from Italy to Russia, but most likely keeping it on booze and partying.
* * Tony Kushner ’s new play, “The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism With a Key to the Scriptures†is premiering in New York next fall in a co-production with Signature Theater Company and the Public Theater. The play is the author’s first epic-sized look at America since Angels in America, and takes place in a retired longshoreman’s Brooklyn brownstone.

* * James Cameron and Glenn Beck are NOT BFF ’s. Beck apparently called the Avatar director “the anti-Christ,†and would apparently love to debate “the madmen.†Team Cameron.
* * Tell me you’ve already seen this video of Joe Biden saying “This is a big f’ing deal†at the Health Care Reform bill signing yesterday. Love this guy.
