After
living at Gateway for 10 years I may have to move--I got my new lease
today and my rent has gone up $10!!!!!! As of June 1 I will be paying
$275 for a large one bedroom apartment, over looking the water, with
the electricity included, 61 cable stations including HBO and Showtime
for $29 not to mention a $14 credit on my phone---YOU'RE CRAZY IF YOU
THINK I WILL OR WANT TO MOVE!!!!  LOL

I
went to the vascular surgeon today and we discussed the whole leg
'thing'. He assured me that I wouldn't be put under, that the procedureangiogram and will look at the stent put in my left leg 9 years ago and see if it can be reopened or opened
further as it seems my left leg is in more trouble than my right. An
angioplasty will be done on the right leg.
would take place in his office where I would rest up for 2-4 hours
afterwards, then I would go home and go about my regular routine. He
will be doing a right leg

Briefly, I may be given a Valium or something like that to calm me down while a small amount of local
anesthetic will be injected into my groin so I won't feel any pain. The
area will be covered with a surgical sheet and, if I heard him right, I
will not see anything that is happening. He will puncture the artery
with a small needle and place a skinny wire into the artery. He will
inject X-ray contrast dye and watch the reaction on a TV-like monitor.
(Too much info????  LOL)

Now I may have misunderstood him--will have to check back with him--but after this he will discuss the results of the angiogram with me and what may/could be done further I think he was talking about
the left leg where he feels there might be problems in the future.

The
biggest negative is that this will be done at 7:30 IN THE MORNING!!! I
tried to talk him into doing it in the afternoon but no go. :O) That
means getting up at least by 6 AM
as it takes 45 minutes to get from his office from my place. Looks like
I won't go to sleep that night! Now it is a question of picking a date
and it looks like Monday, June 15 as I will need someone to take me there and take me home so I have to check other people's schedules and availabilities.

I got home about 5 minutes before the
call came from Allen that he was back from Dallas and at the airport so
I went and picked him up. He suggested we go get a bite to eat and I
NEVER say no to eating out. He even picked up the check--hurray for
Allen BUT he took his car back--boo!! LOL

It
is funny but even though you may not see friends every day as long as
they are in town there is a certain comfort and when they are out of town you feel a little 'lost'. Allen and I see each other usually on
Wednesdays and Fridays, once in awhile on Tuesdays but with his being
in Dallas this Saturday, Sunday and Monday something didn't feel
right!!!  :O)

Okay, I am back to having one car that I can use a couple of times a week, my rent has gone up, I am heading for a procedure on my legs--who cares??? I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night--who could ask for anything more?!??!  LOL
