(Yes, Alfredo, a lot of blogging today--remember I won't be blogging for 2-3 weeks next month!! LOL)
Had to go to my primary care physcian today for blood work as my PT (warfarin--blood thinner) count was low the last time.
As usual the nurse wanted me to get on the scale to weigh in--I told her to go VERY slowly moving the bottom weight down as I knew I had a good weight loss--as it turned out I lost the 11 and a half pounds I had gained at the last weigh in! All I had to do was cut out sweets for the two weeks. I am going to be careful the next few weeks as I do want to lose as much as I can before the operation.
Then she took my blood pressure--it was 90 over 50 which is low for me as it is usually 110 over 70.
Now I must tell you that I like going to my primary as there is a great deli right next door to the office and I treat myself to a sandwich AFTER I see the doctor. Of course with the low blood pressure reading I knew I had to have a pastrami & corned beef sandwich on rye heavy on the mustard with extra sour pickle spears and, naturally, a diet soda to raise the pressure. :O)
Needless to say the doc knew nothing about my going in for the operation and since he will have to do the preop work I thought it would be nice for him to know--now I have to get after the surgeon's office to send him the info.
My insurance agent is still on vacation so I have to wait to hear/decide what will happen as far as rehabilitation after the operation goes--IF I can arrange to be in a facility for 2 weeks or so I think that would solve all my problems.
Staying in this evening to watch "Ten More Good Years"--Michael Jacoby interviews four senior citizens who are gay--not that I don't know anything about that but I like to compare my life with others--it is on the Sundance Channel on cable at 9 PM (EST)
