Allen and I decided to
have our last ice cream this year and went to Baskin Robbins BEFORE going for
lunch!!!!

Every once in awhile a
farm near us sends over extra organic produce that they have grown for the
residents of Gateway. Both yesterday and today we had loads of green peppers ,
eggplants and seedless melons so I got one of the latter, 4 of the eggplants and
2 dozen of the peppers. This evening I decided to cook up a vegetable mixture
that I could divide and one night have it with rice, another with black beans,
possibly a night with red beans and finally one with navy beans. On the bottom
of the pot I put a layer of onions, then chopped up the peppers, topped that
with mushrooms, added fresh garlic, a can of no salt tomato sauce and a can of
no salt tomatoes plus a pinch of this and a pinch of that.

One never knows what the mail will bring and
today I received a postal card offering 4,000 FREE cup cakes by a new place
called SWEETER DAYS which will be giving away 500 cup cakes a day from this
Saturday to the next and NO I won't be going because I am starting my diet,

Having seen over 79 movies I am starting to work on
a best and worst 10 and, trust me, it is hard to pick 10 great, let alone good,
movies out of the 79!!! Plan to post it this weekend since some people asked
about it.

Cassie, Lola and Cassidy, plus the finches, have really been
enjoying their treats from Chuck and Terry while I am still 'eating off' Jill,
John and Emily!!!
