Oh, as much as you would like it to be,
this is not about you! I'm talking about the audacity of Corine who, on
Monday, sent me a telegram stating that she wanted me to be her South
Florida drama critic. On top of that she wanted me to go to the opening
night of the musical "Young Frankenstein" with a red carpet celebration
of the 20th anniversary of the Broward Performing Arts Center!
Can you believe she wants me to miss "Survivor" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Law
& Order: Los Angeles"?! Come on, what would you do? Sit on a couch,
watch TV and eat snacks or go to a 'glittering opening--free champagne
served in test tubes--happy surprises with random souvenirs and free
gifts'??? Oh well, to make her happy I'll go to the show!
Let's
face it I am still on a high, excited and counting the hours until I am
sitting in the theatre, seeing the house lights going down, the
orchestra starting and the curtain going up--22 hours from now as I type
this. I promise--after Friday--I'll get back to regular blogging and
make some people happy--the others? Who cares? LOL
I
just checked the rest of the BPAC schedule and some of the shows coming
up are: Burn The Floor, Cats, Rock of Ages, Les Miserables, West Side
Story, Wicked and Hair--not a bad line up folks!
