Everyone has been asking what they can do in response
to California Prop 8, Florida Amendment 2, Arizona 102, and the other
setbacks in Equality for our community. Well, someone has answered that
question.

Join the Impact has started a movement for a National Day of Protest on November 15th, 2008:

“On the steps of your City Hall on November 15th at 10:30am PST /1:30pm
EST, our community WILL take to the streets and speak out.”

Fight OUT Loud is honored to join in the fight and we encourage all of
our members and allies to find the protest in your area and attend.

No protest close to you? Start one.

This is a grassroots effort. We need to stand as one and say we will
not settle for less than Equality! California had been protesting
nonstop since their constitutional amendment passed, making huge
national headlines. Now we can all step up and do the same in our own
states.

Visit www.jointheimpact.com for more information. And here’s another way to communicate about the protests: https://jointheimpact.wetpaint.com/. There are also numerous Facebook groups and events set up to help organize.

STAND UP. GET INVOLVED. FIGHT OUT LOUD.

Waymon Hudson
President, Fight OUT Loud

I received an email from a friend in CA that stated a complete list of all businesses known to be owned or run by those who oppose gay marriages in CA has been compiled so that all members of the gay community and others who do support gay marriage can boycott the businesses. You know this is going to go back and forth, up and down, like rides on a playground before it's all finally settled, but every effort must be made to make sure that how it ends up is in the position that returns the right to marry to same-sex couples so that the rights to marriage will be equal among all citizens.
