Catching up to Thursday--yesterday Allen and I went back to Sage, the French
Cafe, for lunch--he had a shrimp, scallop crepe and I had a steakDianne crepe--before that we stopped at The Pantry of Broward where I got a 55 pound box of food and afterwards to 7/11 where I once again bought winning lotto tickets (LOL) and then came home.
Today,
being Thursday, I did my food shopping and afterwards I went to the
pool where I got some sun, finished reading the paper and talked to
Vinnie.
Vinnie
is a 80+ year old Italian guy from New Jersey who wrote a book about
coming out as a teenager in Brooklyn and the Jersey shore. He recently
had another pace maker operation and is recovering at a good
pace though walking slower which might have to do with his age more
than the pace maker.
Also on the breezeway Angel was taking one of her daily walks. This long hair dachshund is aptly named as you won't find a sweeter, better behaved dog who loves everyone!
It's been awhile but I plan on going on a mini movie binge over the next few days. Tomorrow Allen and I will be going to see "Angels & Demons" downtown on the riverfront, Saturday I, and maybe Allen, will be going to see the "A Chorus Line" documentary "Every Little Step" and then on
Tuesday when Dolores comes to clean my place I will go to see another
documentary called "Outrage". Of course I will be posting my reviews on each of the movies. So far the best film I have seen this year was "Valentino: The Last Emperor" and I am hoping at least one (guess which one? LOL) is as good if not better!!!
Having
a car at my command whenever I wanted it has been great even if I
didn't use it all the time but that is about to come to an end as
Cookie returns from her cruise on Monday. It has been nice while it
lasted! :O)
