The
rainy season started last week and hasn't let up!! If you want to get
anything done and not get wet you have to do it before Noon and that
includes getting sun and going swimming!!
I had a rough night
sleeping getting up and staying up for an hour at a time eventually
calling it quits at 11 AM. I had bought 'Little Bites" by Entermans--each package is 100 calories and there are 5 packages. Do I have to tell you I ate all 5 packages? I didn't think so! :O)
I
did get to the pool around 1 PM though the sky was overcast and there
were little raindrops now and then I stayed for an hour. I was joined
for a few minutes with a flying visitor which I think was a Heron.
On
the way home I passed by Mary Lou's garden and her orchids are in full
bloom--she really has a green thumb when it comes to flowers.
Around
six o'clock I went outside to feed the birds--I give the 'wild' birds
whatever my birds don't eat--and there was the ring neck dove that
waits every evening whether it is raining or not. And, of course, the
rain held off until the birds had their fill.
I don't know if you are aware of Jane Fonda's blog--- www.janefonda.com
--but it really is interesting (and no, not political)--she did take us
on her journey from rehearsal to closing night or her first Broadway
play in over 40 years called "33 Variations". Her latest blogs are about her trip to the Galapagos with plenty of pictures. If you haven't checked out her blog do so as it is very interesting and fun.
I
came across a fascinating web site that is quite different than the
usual. It's for people who have too much 'stuff' and want to get rid of
it or people who need 'stuff' and don't have money. Check out www.freecycle.org they are everywhere.
Last, but not least, go to www.sunsentinel.com/flyaway and win a prize for a free trip for 16 people BUT if you win you have to include me!!
And tomorrow, June 1, starts hurricane season--here's hoping we get lucky again this year!
