He's Just Not That into You---a Movie Review

There is so much that is wrong with this movie that it is hard to
know where to start. The obvious, and expected angle, of bashing men is
a given just in the title, "He's Just Not That Into You". It was funny
hearing the 'oh, no' sneering  laughs from the guys in the audience and
the knowing giggles from the women. Too bad there weren't any laughs
from the movie.

There are so many story lines that it was surprising to see that the film only lasted
2+ hours, especially since a few of the plots would never had been
missed. Is it irony that all the couples wind up married or about to be
except the married couple who will get divorced? Are young couples
today really as messed up as this movie portrays them? I hope not. Oh,
yes, let's not forget the gay men--in all their cliche gayness,
feminine, a girl's best friend, etc.

It really isn't fair to judge the acting in a movie like this but for one reason or another a few do stand out such as Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper who has Jennifer Connelly (who seems to be in another picture story line and acting wise) as a wife and Scarlett Johansson
(why this woman gets to make so many pictures is a mystery to me) as
his mistress. Yes, there is the scene where he has sex with one while
the other is in a closet in the same room.

We know all men
are dogs and Justin Long, the top dog who explains and explains and
explains what and why men do things and what they mean or don't mean by
doing them, will, of course, end up with the neediest one who doesn't
understand men until the end and tells the top dog what's wrong with
him!!

Kevin Connolly, of the HBO series "Entourage" has a major role interacting with (annoying) Ginnifer Goodwin, Johansson and Drew Barrymore. The only interesting part of his role is a bedroom
scene where he exposes his very hairy legs which wasn't expected.

There are 'talking heads' throughout the film which add nothing to the movie except to make it longer.
In
the movie's favor is that all the characters seem to be living upscale
lives in super apartments--this is definitely NOT the Baltimore of John
Waters!

It was a cold day, Andre couldn't go to the beach so it was a second day of spending his vacation in a movie theatre--tomorrow Haulover Beach which has to be better than this movie!!!!
