June 1, the first day of hurricane season, started out with a new dog on my 2020 calendar and the sun shining all day with the boats and people out on the water and my taking a walk down to The Point overlooking Karen Bay.


Then at 5 PM the news came on talking about a 3rd named storm called Cristobal with the latter taking the 'honor' of being the earliest named C storm since records have been kept. Bette Davis, our weather person, assured us that it wasn't aiming our way but that rain was coming. It would start Tuesday and increase each day for 2 more days.


Now on Tuesday, June 2, at 5 PM Bette just said the rain is starting to come onshore in Miami Beach and will work its way up to Fort Lauderdale and may be heavier and last longer than predicted yesterday. At the same time looking at the bottom pictures you can see the clouds coming in. Also, Henry the Heron is getting the last rays of the sun and thinking about where he should ride out the storm!


The heavy rain just might help stop the protests and, particularly the looting and destruction though today's protest is very quiet.
