DON'T JUDGE JOHN BY THIS PICTURE!

OR THIS ONE

John
moved to Gateway a little over a year and a half ago. It wasn't long
before he joined the group who got together every evening around 5:15 on
the breezeway. It wasn't long before he bestowed the name "The Mindless
Ones" on the group so it is only by default he is the Captain!

John
is an excellent carpenter and does all the prop work for the annual
Christmas pagent at the Baptist church which is world famous. In his
'spare time' John builds shelves, cabinets, etc. for his neighbors here
at Gateway. Below is a picture of a bed he made for Larry and a fish
tank stand for his own fish tank.

Now
getting back to that first picture of the pipe urinating on him--that's
what John got for volunteering to hang the clock in the swimming pool
area. He had to drill into the pipe and we still don't know where the
water came from!! (Of course, unknowingly--I am not that great a photographer---the
angle of the water and his head just makes it look like it is pouring
on him. In reality it was flowing like in the second picture.

Along
with everything else John has an identical twin named Jim who turned
down his chance to live here and is always 'inventing' things--good
things.

Members of the 'mindless ones'
come and go---sadly some by dying--and here are a few of us. By the way
you are more than welcome to join us on the breezeway between 5 & 6
PM any evening.
