I wouldn't dare say it is cold here with what is going on up north so I'll just say it is cool enough (only a high of 66 degrees today) for me to wear my 'chocolate' sweat shirt!!
The
day started off with Allen taking me to The Pantry, a non-profit
organization, where I get some wonderful, and different, foods such as
a 3 pound bag of blueberries, a whole chicken, raspberry swirl cake,
cracker and snack made with wine, cheese swirls, herb seasonedstuffing among 50 different items.
After
that it was off to BOTTOMS & TOPS outlet store in Wilton Manors on
Wilton Manor Drive--a great area where all tourists should go--hi Robin
:O)--thanks to John for telling me about their sale--unfortunately the only things that would fit me are the shoes--this is a store for THIN guys only!!! LOL
As most of you know flip-flops are my thing, my choice of foot wear,
but I did buy a pair of sandals for only $4--this is going to be
work--I actually willhave to bend over to put them on. (okay, okay, insert your own joke here as I know you are thinking of one!)
It
being the beginning of the month, and the social security check came
in, so it being Wednesday, going out for lunch day, and not having to
use a coupon we decided to go to a new complex The Manor, just opened
in Wilton Manors also on Wilton Manors Drive that we have been thinking
about going to since it opened. We had heard it was on the expensive
side which is why we have kept away from it.
To get more of an idea what it is all about check out their web site at:
http://www.themanorcomplex.com/flash/
Tomorrow I will probably be writing a review of the lunch and what of the complex we saw.
After
that we went to Walgreen's for Allen, after a few attempts, finally got
his shingles vaccine. If you haven't gotten yours get it, especially if
you are over 60. Folks, if you can avoid getting shingles do so as it
is not a pleasant illness to have!
As
we were near Chippy the Parrot, the bird store where I get my supplies,
we stopped there and I got seed, millet spray and grit--the latter for
the finches--hey, when I have some money I spread it around--that's why
I very seldom have money! LOL
It being Wednesday, as part of my routine, I stopped at 7/11 to get my winning lotto and powerball tickets--just because I have said that for 15 years doesn't mean
anything as tonight IS the night--besides I promised a couple of people
if I won they would lose their virginity--oh get your mind out of the
gutter--not THAT virginity!!!
I have so many good days and so many good friends and so many good times, not to forget mostly a stress free life, don't be jealous and/or hate me, just concentrate on getting/having a good life of your own. Folks, being old has a lot to do with it--trust me!!!
