I AM Getting Too Sweet, Folks


               

My last blog yesterday was about the new white fudge and milk chocolate covered pretzels I
had discovered at the dollar store, had really liked and ate all 64 of them.
Almost immediately after I posted that blog I
got a knock on my door from Emily. She is a neighbor who lives downstairs and
she told me to come on down to her apartment, that she had made something for
me. I went downstairs and there it was--a half a pecan pie and a half of a
cheesecake--all for me!! Well, I couldn't hurt her feelings so I took it
upstairs!

    

Let's just say that there is no trace of either
'slice' of pie today and that presents a problem.

I've talked before--a lot--about my fight with
fat--you can even look up my 8 part series--but I have been very careless
lately. I have even stopped keeping my food diary which sort of kept a reign on
my weight gain but I have now gone from 'tilt' when I step on the scale to
disastrous when it comes to wearing or not being able to wear clothes because
they are too tight.

Now
I was in the professional weight business for over 10 years and I know ALL the
excuses--what do you say when a nun tells you that it is her 'time  of the
month' 3 weeks in a row!!--and I know less than 1% of fat people actually have a
glandular problem--I, can also have the excuse that my medicines are putting
weight on me--and they are to a certain extent BUT I know the reason I am 13 and
half pounds fatter than I was last year on this date (yes, I keep my weight
records--I have weighed in every Monday and Thursday since 1969 and have the
weights recorded.) and the reason I have gained the weight is because I am
eating too much!!!

The holiday are coming and we are already planning
to go to the Isle casino for their Thanksgiving buffet and probably, also, at
Christmas. Along with that is the fact my clothes are too tight so, as of this
moment, I am back on my diet, keeping my food chart and getting thinner. Will
report in each week as that is one of the motivations I use.

First thing I stop eating are sweets. Just by doing
that I should lose 5 pounds by next Thursday though I know the best, most
sensible weight lose is between 1-2 pounds a week.  With 9 week to go to the
first of the year I will be very happy with a 9-19 pound weight loss by
then!
