June
is Gay Pride month and, consequently, many cable stations present
films, many documentaries, on gay life. For example I am watching one
on HBO2 right now about how not only is it legal for transgenders to have an operation, in the Arab world, Islam approves it, but backed
by and usually paid for by the government. On the other hand
homosexuality is illegal and punishment can be stoning to death or
hanging. It is called "Be Like Others".
The other evening
there was an excellent documentary called "Rise Up And Shout" about the
older gay community in Los Angeles putting on a showcase for gay youth
showing the interaction between old and young, black and white,
Hispanic and non-Hispanic, male and female, etc.
This Saturday the Sundance channel will be showing a 'double bill' starting at 10 PM (EST).
Bravo, of course, has so many 'gay' shows that June is the same as any other month! LOL
Check your TV schedule for all the gay films being shown. Most are repeated again and again, plus, most are available on DVD.
I don't have the 'gay, channels Logo and Here but I am sure they are doing some 'specials'.
JUST REMEMBER: EVERY DAY IS A DAY TO BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!!!
