Did you know that a stage musical was made out of the movie "Flashdance"? I vaguely remember hearing about it on broadwayshowbiz.com and talkinbroadway.com and also when I got the notice from Broadway Across America about the 2012-2013 theatre season. This week I got my invitation to the opening night of the touring pre-Broadway showing at the Broward Performing Arts Centeron Tuesday March 6. Of course the week before, this Tuesday, February 26, I go to the opening of the touring company of "Les Miserables" at the Arsht Center in Miami. And my birthday doesn't even come out this year!!! Below are a preview of "Flashdance" the stage musical and then the opening scene for "Les Miserables" --enjoy.

I saw a local community theater production of Pajama Game last night. Originally done in 1954, there was a new production with Harry Connick Jr a few years ago. Great songs in it.
