On Monday Alfredo and Mike will be in the Miami
airport on their layover to Guatemala from 3 to 6 PM. On the same day
Deb will be in Fort Lauderdale from about noon-4 PM waiting for her
cruise ship to depart.
From 12:20 PM (when
I get the first bus) until 3 PM I will be busy getting to and being
looked at by the dentist! I have to take 3 buses and 1 and 1/2 hrs to
get to dentist and my appointment is at 2--Allen would pick me up but
he lives near the dentist and it would take him 45 minutes to get to my
place, another 45 minutes to get to dentist and another 45 minutes to
take me home again and then 45 minutes for him to get home again and
that's A LOT OF GAS!!!! So I take the bus and after Nov. 2 that option
isn't open to me as they stop the bus route in front of my place.
Meanwhile
since Allen will be with me from about 2 PM until 4-5 or so I gave
Alfredo and Deb his cell phone number so we can at least say hello. I
will get to meet Deb on Friday when she gets back from her cruise and
spends a couple of hours here before returning to NYC. I am hoping she
will come and see Gateway before or after we have a bite to eat at The
Cheesecake Factory but we will play that by ear. As I told her she is
one of the very few people I would give up my 'go to the movies on
Friday' for!!!!
Though I won't get to see
Alfredo and Mike on Monday they will be coming down to Ft. Lauderdale
and staying with me in February (even going to see a performance of "A
Chorus Line" with me.) Even though most people think Ft. Lauderdale is
part of Miami it isn't and getting to the airport there and back is/can
be a real hassle.
I am looking forward to Monday and, especially, Friday!!!
