Chuck and Terry



Four years ago Chuck came to Fort Lauderdale to help me celebrate my 17th Leap Year birthday and I bought a sofa bed for him to sleep on so that he could come and go as he wanted.

About one and a half years ago Chuck and Terry visited me as they were playing the softball championships here and, of course, they slept on the sofa bed--hey, I may love them but I don't get up at 6 AM for anyone!! LOL.

In any case I decided to open the bed, air it out and get the bird poop off. Imagine my horror when it wouldn't open correctly!!! Though I had alternatives like giving them the top mattress of my bed and I could sleep on the bottom half or they could stay at Allen's who lives about 35 minutes from me (and the beach!!) or at Jerry's who lives in building A here and has an extra bed BUT I wanted them to stay with me.

I spoke to a couple of the maintenance guys here and asked them to look at it. In the meanwhile Gino brought over a friend of his who will eventually be moving into Gateway from Tampa. I showed them the sofa bed---as it was Chuck and Terry's head would hit the ceiling or their feet would be up in the air (No comments please LOL) In any case we got the bed to lay flat and after trying it out realized that a crisis was averted BUT the bed will stay down until they leave--meanwhile I have 2 shower curtains covering the bed from the bird's poop!!
