How can any production be more exciting than the one he saw the day the show
became the longest running show on Broadway and the man in charge redid the
whole concept? How can you get all pepped up by a TV commercial that you want to
get up from your chair, dance and sing. How can you look forward to crying
again when you hear Paul's story? Laugh at Sheila's sarcasm? Look at Val's 'Tits
and ass'? Feel the pain, the joy, the bewilderment, the apprehension of people
putting themselves on the line?

On Tuesday, 120 hours from now, at this time that opening number will start
and my heart will pound and not stop pounding for 2 hours and 10 minutes--if the
show is paced correctly. It has been a few years since I have seen "A Chorus
Line" and I already know I will be lost in the lives of 24 people, seeing myself
in each of them--okay, maybe not Don--pulling for each of them to get the job
they so badly want/need. I want Connie to be taller, Morales to feel something,
Gregory to wear good clothes and Cassie, my dear Cassie, to do what she does
best and that's not waiting on tables.
Tuesday at 8 PM and Thursday at 8 PM I will be sitting in the 3rd row on the
aisle in the mezzanine watching the best musical ever--"A Chorus
Line"---ummmm--wonder if I can save enough pennies to see it a 3rd time--maybe
for my unbirthday on the 28th????
5 days to see "A Chorus Line"--7 days to see "A Chorus Line"--6 days until
Alfrerdo and Michael get here--10 days until the Oscars is televised--always
something to look forward to!
Then there
is Valentine's Day and my favorite romantic movie of all time being shown on
Saturday at 8 PM on the TCM cable channel--"Love Is A Many Splendored
Thing"--don't wake a sleeping tiger and watch out for that
butterfly!!!

Counting down!!!!
