10 days to go to becoming an adult! :O)

It is about 10 years ago that Chuck sent me a computer and got me hooked--sometimes I curse him for it but most of the time I am grateful--he and Terry will becoming down for my birthday and, I am hoping, he will be able to help me get things going a little better around here--right now I 'only' have about 14 different topics to question him about--one thing that may have helped is that I stopped subscribing to Juno's speedband and am not getting 'this page cant' be displayed' and such messages.

I 'hunt & peck' on the typewriter with a heavy hand and, consequently, I can no longer see the e, i, h, l and r keys--guess I'll have to hint for a new keyboard for my birthday though I did get one (used) from Out Of The Closet--a thrift shop--but wasn't able to get it to work--#15 for Chuck!!!

Dolores, my cleaning friend, came over today while I went to the movie--she thought she would be nice and put the sofa bed up--I hadn't told her the problem I was having--looks like Terry & Chuck may be sleeping on the floor unless I can get someone to help me bring it back down!! (Maybe I shouldn't say anything until after he fixes my computer problems--I can always tell him when he gets here that we should get that out of the way first. ) LOL

As I mentioned in another blog this month TCM is showing Oscar winning films all month--twice I made a mistake of going over to the channel just to take a 'peek'--well, the other night they were showing "Steel Magnolias" and I tuned in at the part where Shelby (Julia Roberts) dies and Sally Fields has her melt down at the funeral--still powerful--so I stayed to the end though I have seen it about a half a dozen times--then last night wouldn't you know I would click on the channel when "Gone With The Wind" was showing--Bonnie was taking her jump and, once again, I was hooked until the end--and I can't tell you how many times I have seen this classic!! Have to stay away from that channel at night or I will never get to sleep!!

DON'T FORGET--TOMORROW NIGHT (WEDNESDAY)--THE BROADWAY SHOW "COMPANY" WILL BE ON PBS AT 9 PM--BOBBY'S LAST SONG IS A STUNNER!!! AND IT IS ONE OF SONDHEIM'S BEST SONGS!!
