• I’m with
stupid. A new group called Crash The
Tea Party sent out opponents to the Tea Party to attend the tax day protests . Attending wasn’t enough,
Crash the Tea Party wanted their followers to out crazy the crazies. The
leader of the group, Jason
Levin , wanted people to show up with signs that go one step
farther than the typical racist and homophobic ones that many Tea Party
followers bring to their protests. “Every time we have someone on camera
saying that Barack Obama isn’t an American citizen, we want someone
sitting next to him saying, ‘That’s right, he’s an alien from outer
space!’” People actually took the call to arms seriously andshowed up to
many of the protests. Now I appreciate the humor that goes into a
counter-protest like this, but I personnally think the Tea Party doesn’t
need any help driving their crazy train and this just distracts from
exposing the REAL nuttiness.
• Oprah lesbian…Who Knows? Kitty Kelly , the infamous biographer, has
written a new book on Oprah (unauthorized, of course). In the
book she revisits the topic of Oprah’s sexuality. As we all know, it has
been long rumored that Oprah is in a relationship with her best friend Gayle
King . Ms. Kelly comes to the conclusion of, well, there isn’t a
conclusion. There just isn’t any evidence. I have to be honest, this is
less interesting to me than the fact that Oprah was in a relationship
with John Tesh .
• The guilty redirect, poorly. The
Vatican is running fast to “clarify” a statement from the Pope’s right
hand man, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone . Bertone stated
recently that celibacy isn’t the reason for the church’s child abuse
scandals, homosexuality is. Now I am not sure why anyone is so shocked
that this notoriously gay hating religious body would produce a “leader”
unwilling to accept or rectify the church’s wrongs. This little gaffe
has added fuel to the fire as it comes on the heals of a retired Bishop
in Italy blaming the church’s woes on a Zionist attack . In response to a ton of condemnation , a Vatican spokesman said the
Church does not “make general statements of a specifically physiological
or medical character,” and that Cardinal Bertone did not intend to link
homosexuality with pedophilia. Every thing seems to be blamed on the
gays. Check out the seven craziest things ever balmed on the gays . Blame the victim, blame a unrelated group, blame, blame, blame!

• Alarming trend. There has been a
recent outbreak of arson that target the gays. In Houston at gay affirming church was destroyed in what
has been determined as an intentionally set blaze. From the
Servant-Savior Presbyterian Church website: “We welcome people of any
nationality, race, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. As a
More Light Church, we see diversity as one of God’s many blessings to
the community and we choose to further this understanding through our
presence and actions in the world.” Someone obviously thinks there is
something wrong with diversity. In Mississippi
a gay bar was also burnt to the ground in what the Jackson,
Mississippi fire department considers to be an intentional fire. Bullies
and thugs. Time tofight back!

• Move
Your Money. New York Magazine online posted an innocuous question
and answer session with Alan Cumming on Wednesday. Cumming answered
softball questions like “What’s Your Drink” and “Old Times Square or New
Times Square”. He was also asked “How has the Wall Street crash
affected you?” and Cumming replied “I moved what was left of my money
away from Goldman Sachs. Go to moveyourmoney.info and do the same.” within a couple of hours of the posting he received
an email from Goldman Sachs saying “they had read the
piece and reminding me of the amount of cash I had made whilst my money
was with them, despite the financialcrash.” What does Cumming think
about that? “Arrogance and greed is not acceptable to me, but combined
with a lack of remorse and an utter disregard for the sentiments of the
outside world it transcends even that and needs to be dealt with in the
only way that could possibly have any real effect, practically as well
as metaphorically: I moved my money.” Indeed!

• Tax Day
musing. John Stewart takes on another talking point. The
Drudge Report reported that the Tax Policy Center released a report
the 47% of Americans do not pay federal income tax. Pretty quickly most
media jumped on the bandwagon to report this “outrage”. Of course, they
leave out that the those that don’t pay federal income taxes are, what,
POOR. This media firestorm comes the day after it was reported that Exxon
Mobil didn’t pay ANY taxes to the U.S. government. Oh, this just
steams me up. Attack the weak and enable the strong. Just watch the clip
from the Daily Show.
