"Here's the chance to explore the paralyzing self doubt in ones late 20s after knowing it all in one's early 20s."Â Â Apropos quote regarding 20 year olds from the TV show "My Generation"

This
past Wednesday I went to the opening of "The New Mel Brooks Musical
Young Frankenstein"--that's the full title-- from now on just
"YF"--starting my job as the South Florida drama critic for Corine's
Corner web page. It was a fun, exciting evening and I am looking forward
to the rest of the season at the Broward Performing Arts Center which will be having the following shows: "Burn
The Floor", "Cats", "Rock of Ages", "Les Miserables", "West Side Story",
"Wicked" and "Mamma Mia".

On Friday we went to the opening night of "Rain" at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami but more about that tomorrow. By the way you can also see an advance posting of my review at Connie's Corner.
The next show I go to see, and review, will be the
on Tuesday, October 29 and I am certainly looking forward to that!

This past week was really busy going to the 2 shows, seeing 2 movies,
going back to Lincoln Road on Miami Beach where I haven't been in years,
eating in 3 new restaurants, spending the afternoon, last Sunday, at
the beach and thoroughly enjoying LIFE! By the way I was so busy I
didn't go food shopping this week so you know I've been busy. LOL

Looks
like Fall has arrived in South Florida with even the newspaper
remarking that 'the air has cooled, the humidity levels have dropped and
the rainy season has drawn to a close about 2 weeks early.
After
the region's hottest summer on record, when heat index readings were
regularly in the 100s, temperatures are finally easing. Expect afternoon
high temperatures in the low to mid 80s and morning lows in the high
60s and low 70s straight through Sunday.'

A couple of quotes I had jotted down:
"I
love to see karma at work--to think someone who use to sneer at people
who took government's assistance now have their hands stretched out." Â
A local Democrat candidate.
"A super
PAC backed by Karl Rove largely financed by a few wealthy out-of state
businessmen has reported spending nearly a quarter of a million dollars
to support Florida Republican Senate candidate Marco Rubio."Â Dan Christensen
Hopefully I'll catch up on blogging tomorrow--meanwhile check out www.corinescorner.com and tell me what you think of her web site and my reviews.
