Allen
and I went to the Isle of Capri Casino Prime Rib and Seafood buffet on
Saturday. We had to wait two hours to finally be seated and though it
was worth it I wouldn't go back on a Saturday night!! :O)
I had two thick slabs of prime ribs, steamed mussels, tiny clams in marinara sauce, 2 big bbq ribs, 4 slices of various pizzas, paella, fajita salad, fried shrimp and calamari, a few plates of shrimp cocktail, a sugar free (of course! LOL)
slice of jelly role, 2 small squares of pecan pie, scoops of vanilla
and chocolate chip ice cream with cookie bits and peanuts along with a
few glasses of diet (naturally!) coke!! They did have Alaskan crab legs
but I don't feel they are worth the effort so I didn't have them. I
think that was it. :O)
Looks
like I have a car problem again. I had a deal going with Cookie and was
able to have her car on Thursdays and, if I needed/wanted it, on Monday
orTuesday . She sold the car so I am without one again. I can (and do)
rely on Allen, John and Gino but it still feels better to have the
freedom of a car when needed. I am currently talking to two other
people and hopefully one will come through.
I
have always been interested in how people got into the business that
they do/did. I've been writing about becoming a waiter and it was a job
I fell into just as in the 70s I 'fell' into the weight reduction
field. Did you plan/study to go into your field of work or did you get
into by accident?
It's that time of the year--the anticipation and possibility
of hurricanes coming to South Florida. At the moment it looks like the
first two will miss us but the third one is starting on its
path--hopefully we will be lucky as we have been the past few years.
Have
an appointment to get new glasses this coming Thursday and , hopefully,
there won't be much of a change in the lens and, possibly, maybe, this
doctor will find out what's wrong with my eyes since theophthalmologist isn't doing a good job.
Not having the car Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I am spending more time in/by the pool--oh, life is rough!
