I buy all my supplies for the birds. Walking around I came across a
cage with two budgies (what you would call parakeets) and knowing that
Clive (the owner) very seldom carries budgies I assumed they were
rescues and I asked him how much he wanted for them. He answered, "$25
for both including the cage."
The 2 budgies for sale:
I certainly don't need the cage so that wasn't
a selling point BUT the price for the 2 birds were. I did hesitate
because they were both male and I already have a male and was looking
for a female so I could mate them. More serious though was the fact
that myoptomologist has hinted at the fact that the reason I am having red, itchy eyes could be caused by an allergy
to the birds and if it gets worse I may have to get rid of the birds I
have now which certainly wouldn't be an easy decision and one I
probably won't do! In the end I decided not to buy them as it wouldn't
be fair to them or the male bird I have.
Every time I go to Clive's I want to get all the birds he has--here are just a few:

This is a 'deformed' bird that they have had in the store for years andthat they have tamed/trained and won't sell--he has become the store's
mascot along with the the 6 hyacinthparrots--see next picture of one of them!!!
This picture is very deceptive as they are VERY BIG birds!!!
I am still thinking of those 2 budgies and hope they get a good home!
