IS AN ABBREVIATED VERSION)

Ricky Martin came out officially today saying
he was gay--DUH!! Anyone surprised???

It seems the nature of blogging sites that people come and go. Two years ago we 'lost' Vladamir who was
an intelligent blogger, researched
whatever he posted, kept his cool upon being called names and finally
had it with all the nonsense. We also 'lost' Brian, just one of his many
names, the only homophobic gay man I have ever known, who was
unjustly/wrongly accused of doing and saying things along with many
others like eky and myself. At the same
time the previous owner of Blogster, Eddie, started
MyBloggers and people who were looking for peace, quiet and respect starting
blogging there.

In my 5-6 years of blogging I have seen many come and go and still miss a lot of them. Some I have
kept in touch with via e-mail while others have just disappeared. I wish
it was Internet blogging etiquette that if you are going to stop posting on a blog site you have to make a last
post saying good-bye--some of us do care about other bloggers.

In the Variety
edition of March 15, 2010 there is a story about and with Rupert Murdoch
the media mogul. He admits to being basically at heart a print man,
which is a losing part of his empire. It is Fox and investments in
movies such as "Avatar" that 'allow' him to lose an estimated $70
million a year on the NY Post, took a $3 billion write-down on his News
Corp. and could spend $5 billion buying the Wall Street Journal. He
seems to have quashed a family rebellion over 'the toxic propagandizing
of Fox News, a horrendous and sustained disregard of journalistic
standards.'

Murdoch himself famously avoids political
confrontation, espousing a garbled sort of traditional economic
liberalism. All of his U. S. newspapers have grown ever more shrill in
their fervid disdain of anything to the left of Limburgh.

The Right spends more money on media that they
want to read/hear. Roger Ailes' journalistic practices--he is a
partner--makes the Murdoch grown children, all involved with the empire,
ashamed and sickened, his division does supply $700 million in profits
each yea,, so, right or wrong, Murdoch will play to the Right.
