Some
of you won't even know what a Woolworth store was. They were a 5 and 10
cent store where one could buy almost any thing. They had a lunch
counter where one could order sandwich's and coke. That's Coca Cola,
not the drug, which we had never even heard of back then. We didn't
even know what a drug was. The 50's were a blessed time to be alive. It
was a wonderful time with all the new inventions coming out, no crime
to speak of, people never locked their doors, kids didn't carry guns to
school or worry about getting killed..Those were the days my friends...

If any of you have doubt about what we as kids paid for a coke and a
sandwich at Woolworths (How many don't even know what Woolworth's was?)
in the 1950's, here's proof of the era we lived in....
