From 1969, when I was 33, until I was 72 years, 5 months old I've been a positive person. It isn't/wasn't easy always being positive or changing a negative to a positive but I worked hard at it and succeeded. Since my aorta valve replacement I have really had a hard time being positive 24/7 or even attempting to do it.

This morning, after a fairly restless sleepless night I woke up with my right shoulder hurting. After taking the tranquilizer, a pain pill and the rest of my morning medicine I did a little cleaning of the bird cages.

Every month, through my HMO, I get 10 frozen dinners and not only was I owed August meals I, also, was owed July's meals. When, what time they would deliver them was up in the air--previously they had left them at my door way but they won't do that any longer.



In any case Allen came over--I did have a surprise for him--we got free containers of rice pudding and since he likes rice pudding I gave him both. We did our usual Wednesday loop---laundry, bank, 7/11 to buy winning lotto tickets, then swing over and pick up our 2 alternative newspapers. After that we went to the dollar store--Dolores, who cleans my place, said I need a new toliet brush--guess what? Right! They didn't have any!


After that we went to the post office as I wanted to mail a package to Alfredo and Mike about doings and goings on in Ft. Lauderadle. Next to the post office is a French pastry restaurant and I (still) had a hankering for a banana nut muffin--guess what?? Right! They didn't have any. Allen and I decided to get their version of flan--trust me, this PIE had no resembalance to flan.

When I got home I was feeling very tired and sleepy--tried to take a nap and couldn't--I was full of anxietys AGAIN. I scratched off the 6 tickets I bought--hey, Deb, wins why can't I???--all I won was a free ticket!! Then things started to fall in place---my free frozen dinners arrived, Babs gave me a huge box of Guava Jelly Roll slices.

Then I checked the winning Play4 numbers from the afternnon draw--I had a winner!! $200--now have to decide--do I get two more tickets for "A Chorus Line" or do I put the money towards a new TV// Decisions! Decisions! Decisions.

I am trying to be positive and tell myself that I won't have any trouble sleeping tonight and that I will sleep the night through!!

A bad day?? A good day? Just another day?? Let's make it a good day!!
