In the movie "Avatar: The Way of Water" there is a line that goes "Water has no beginning and no end." This movie will break records, make millions, if not billions and I spent 3 hours and 12 minutes (seemed like years) watching it this afternoon. Some people will rave about it while a few like me will say it is at least an hour and 12 minutes too long.
Yes the special effects are special and I loved the 'whale-like' character but why hire actors if you are completely going to disguise them such as Kate Winslet who has a major role!? It is amazing what James Cameron does with underwater scenes and making varieties of fish that makes you believe it is all real but repetition dulls the same scenes and techniques being done over and over.
I plan to see the 3-4 sequels but it will be on a streaming station where I can fast forward throw some of the seemingly never ending scenes.
IF you are going to see "Avatar: The Way of Water" in a theatre I have a feeling it will be worth the extra charge of IMAX and/or 3-D just to see the special effects!
