I remember the ration books. I was only 4 at the time. I also remember my Mother collecting the last small bits of soap from the bar and saving them until the military would send a truck by to collect them. I have no idea what they did with them.
Many years ago my Mother worked on the admissions desk at the Medical College of Georgia and some of her stories were hilarious.
Her coat is beautiful and I have to admit she does not look like she has missed any meals. I love how you can call and call and they will just watch you walk by and never utter a sound. Most of my cats are strictly indoor but I have two that still like being outside but I can't go to bed at night until they are inside. I have coyotes that roam in the woods behind my house at night.
Beautiful!
Why not? Anytime you can lose weight it is a plus for your health. I know it is superficial but when I put on makeup I feel better about myself.
Oh boy, I am glad I live in Georgia where we don't have to worry about that.
Brilliant and true.
Wow, that is beautiful!
Send some on down to Georgia, Hobbie. Keep yur daDDy safe.
Gosh, you mentioned reinforcing yarn for socks and I can remember my Mother "darning" (I think that was the word) my Daddy's socks when they got a hole in the heel. Wow, you just brought back happy memories for me.
It's supposed to be 16 degrees here in Georgia tonight; we had 3-1/2" of snow and we are paralyzed. Schools were closed today and will be closed tomorrow. We are such sissies. The main problem is we don't have the equipment to handle ice and snow.
You are a very talented lady. Can't wait to see the vest you are making for yourself.
How very sad.
Good grief, I am glad she is not my neighbor! I have 8 cats that are strictly inside babies, a pit bull and a mixed mutt and they all live in harmony in the house. Well, maybe that's stretching the truth a little because my 115 lb. pittie is intimidated by the cats. I am sure the cat hater would be horrified that I have so many cats in my house.
