Now ya'll have hurt my feelings. Just remember, in Georgia we have also given up Memorial Day to make up for snow days and Jon, Memorial Day should certainly mean something to you since you served in the military and understand the sacrifices made by our servicemen in previous wars and Viet Nam. If I'm not mistaken, the three rural counties in Georgia that originally were going to make this a school day decided the back roads were still not suitable for travel and cancelled plans for school so the kids got to stay home and play their video games and watch TV.
You amaze me. I truly don't know how you accept all this responsibility without help. You are so strong and I have so much respect for you. I hope one day your children realize how much you love them and have much you have forfeited for them. I will miss reading your posts; come back as soon as you can. You have so many friends here.

Very wise, Deb. I agree with you; I worry about the younger generation and the condition of this country once they become the rulers. I won't be around to see the effect but I worry about my sons and grandchildren.
I am soooo happy he is home with you again. One of the biggest problems we have here in the South is people steal dogs and use them as bait dogs to train pit bulls to fight. I have a pit bull who is very sweet and gentle and I never let him out without one of us accompanying him. Your Buddie is so cute with his bright eyes and the little ear flopped back....hugs and kisses from me to him.
We had snow in Augusta, GA today, Hobbie, but no buzzard warnings. Whoaa, buzzard warnings sounds scary.

I don't eat asparagus but last year when I was visiting my son in Idaho he made asparagus soup and it was delicious. Your cranberry, blackberry and apple salad sounds scrumptious.
These are two examples of the true meaning of Christmas. I have a friend who is going through a hard time; I did not send money but gifts for his family to try and make their Christmas a little brighter. Gifts from the heart are the best. These two women were your Christmas angels.
We have many Craftsman homes here in Augusta. I saw a story on TV once about the Sears homes and every board was numbered so that a non skilled individual could build his own home with no contracting experience. They are very valuable and prized homes now.
Wow, this sounds very sad. Holidays can be a very sad time for some people. I am always sad at Christmas and Mothers Day since I lost my Mother many years ago. I hope that you are ok and have healed also. Welcome to MyBloggers.
